Carolee Anne Bailey of Naples Florida, left this world on September 5, 2023, at age 69. She was born to Robert and Mary (Hobson) Strange on January 2, 1954 in Bloomington, IL. Carolee was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by Vic Tatak, her loving husband of 13 years; her three children, whom she was so proud of, Allen (Jodi) Kibler, Anne (Tony) Bubnick, and Elizabeth (Justan) Neels; her cherished grandchildren Demi and Wade (Elisabeth) Kibler, Shelby and Jacob Bubnick, and Mark and Grace Neels; three great grandchildren Isabel, Aria and Jackson Kibler; siblings, whom she loved and admired, Jim (Linda) Strange, Jon (Diane) Strange, Lynn (Don) Whitacre; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; step children Danny (Anna) Tatak and step grandchildren Vanessa, Cameron, Zachary and Skylar Tatak. She is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Tommy Strange, Emily Bailey, Ronald Strange and Beverly Kittle; and former husband Mark Kibler.
Carol often spoke of her fond memories of cheerleading at Casey High School, being on Student Council, and the beautiful relationships she made there. Carol studied Computer Science at Indiana State University and had a passion for learning. With her 30-year career as a Real Estate Broker, she applied her highly organized personality, beauty, and charm to help people achieve their dreams. She retired from the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club as Retail Manager in 2021. She really enjoyed her coworkers there and won multiple trips and employee of the month awards for her delightful and dedicated service.
Carol is a 23-year survivor of breast cancer. She was extremely devoted in faith and was a member of North Naples Church.
Carol loved talking to and spending time with her family. She would make every experience fun. She would never miss an opportunity to watch the sunset at Pelican Bay Beach and loved sharing this experience with her children. When we were with her, she would instruct us to look out for the “green flash” just as the sun dips below the horizon and to look at the diamonds dancing on the water. She truly saw the beauty that surrounded her every day.
A Celebration of Life at North Naples Church is scheduled on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11am.
People may show their condolences by donating to the North Naples Church at 6000 Goodlette Rd., Naples, FL 34109 or VITAS Hospice at vitascommunityconnection.org in her honor.
