Alan John Hutton

Alan J. Hutton of Naples, Florida passed away next to his loving wife Sylvia on April 13th, 2017. He was born in Birmingham, England on June 9th, 1925. Alan graduated from the Birmingham Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. He served in Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service in Nigeria from 1953-1957. His engineering career then took him and his family to Canada and eventually the United States. He retired from Lear-Siegler in 1987 and spent time in homes in both Florida and North Carolina where his favorite hobby was working in the garden with his loving wife.

Alan is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sylvia; children, David (Kathleen), and Kay; grandchildren, Brent (Julie), Kara (Ariel), Katelen, and Garrett (Megan); six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sheila and Heather.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie; and three brothers, Gordon, Douglas, and Donald.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
