A long-time resident of Qualicum Beach, Bill died peacefully at Trillium Hospice on Sunday, February 26, 2017, surrounded by family. Bill was born in Victoria, May 10, 1933; he grew up in Victoria and Galloway, BC. Bill spent his working days at BC Forest Products. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. “Always quick-witted.” Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mary Willoughby; sister, Margaret Marcer. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janet; daughters Terry Walters (Scott) and Ida Mason; grandson, Cory (Lindsay); sister, Mary Vanlerberg; cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8, 2017, 2-4 p.m. at the family home. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or BC Lung Association.
