It’s with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a fabulous man, William Barton Horsland. Born in Victoria, BC on November the 3rd, 1931. He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn, of 64 years; his children, Jim, Dan and Cindy and Rod (Destiny) who he thought of as a son. Many grandchildren, Brooklyn, Madison, (Will) Rick, and Charlene; and many great grandchildren.
Bart worked on his fathers farm in Victoria and then moved to Qualicum and went into electrical. Bart spent his 55 year career as an electrician in Qualicum and Nanaimo. After many years of Bart's tools being askew on the job, he was instrumental in creating the leather tool belt that is now used in many trades. He was a devoted family man and father. He loved to have fun and as long as his family was having fun he was a happy man. He will be dearly missed by all forever.
