Born in Victoria, Tracy lived there until 2020 and in Nanaimo until 2022. Predeceased by her sister Leslie, brother Robin, father Bruce, grandparents and Canadian cousins. The Hof, Cunnings, and Murch families shared birthdays, weddings and funeral services with her.
Joyful times Tracy shared with her very special friend Ian Cox. Meeting through OT, a version of Trackshoes started at Judith Armstrong’s home, annual Operation Trackshoes contributed to building Tracy’s skills. She treasured these annual sports events. Winning swim races was one of her great achievements. Although challenged, she was proud of the various races, especially the 400.
For a number of years Donna Purdy supported Tracy and Ian in attending theaters, museums, churches, local fairs and dances. Only one thing more important, as the years went by, was anything made with peanut butter!
Tracy Lynn and her Mom remained close throughout her adult years, sharing a very special bond. She was fortunate to have traveled to Disney World, Las Vegas, car races, and the annual PNE. She loved MUSIC – dancing, singing, bands, choirs, inside concerts and outside parades. One of her prized was to hear or sing “I Just Called to Say I love You” by Stevie Wonder. She delighted in sharing her favorites.
A lifetime family member said Tracy was a powerhouse of feistiness and giggles. She felt that Tracy will be missed by so many.
Tracy traveled independently whenever possible because she was her own person and a capable woman. She took great pride in her many accomplishments. An effective communicator, regardless of the situation, Tracy never forgot birthdays and events of the special people in her life. She had a huge heart, a caring disposition and a contagious laugh. She always knew how to have a great time and she also knew how to relax. Tracy was a very unique lady who had many friends throughout her life and we will always think of her with treasured memories.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
