Sherry died at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital due to a progressive lung disease.
Sherry was born in Nanaimo on March/14/1946 and was a lifelong area resident.
She is survived by her husband Terry West, Sister Valarie Addison, Daughter Dawn Flood, Son in law Tony Flood, Grandchildren Raylee and Cody Flood, Nieces Krista and Courtnay Addison, and Step-Daughter and Step-Son Courtney(Paul) Martin and Ben(Margot) West.
She is preceded in death by her son Michael Ralph Torney, Mother Muriel Bina Arman, Father Aldo Irvine Arman and close friend Vicki Larsson.
A gathering will be held at Extension Hall on Sherry’s birthday (tentatively) for close family members and friends (invitation only as per Sherry’s request).
Alpha 1 antitrypsin Deficiency is the lung disease that caused Sherry’s COPD and her eventual death. Contributions in memory of Sherry may be made online at alpha1canada.ca.
