Stacey’s life was precious and God will handle it with care. She will live on through six other people with the donations of her organs.
Stacey was a 1987 graduate of Nacogdoches High School where she participated in the Dragon Band. While a junior at NHS, she received her cosmetology license. She worked and continued her education while raising a family until she received her teaching status. Stacey achieved a longtime goal when she became a teacher of cosmetology at Nacogdoches High School in 2007. She loved her students and her job. She said, “Nobody could love their job as much as I do.” She was held in greatest respect by her students as well, with many considering her a “second mom.”
She also enjoyed life on her farm and loved caring for the animals. Stacey enjoyed playing softball as a youth and then in the adult league. She never met a stranger.
