Sharon (Murrell) Rasmussen

Born in Monroe, Louisiana she spent much of her life raising her family Nacogdoches, Texas.

After her children were older she attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She went on to obtain her C.P.A. After which she practiced as a partner in Ken Smith & Associates in Lufkin, TX.

She lived her life a devoted servant of God spending many years singing in the choir, playing piano and participating in financial guidance for several local churches.

Survived by sons, Adam Murrell Rasmussen and Stephen Douglas Rasmussen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen John Rasmussen and her parents Mae and W.E. Murrell.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a service starting at 11:00 AM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.

Sharon will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches, Texas.
