Bob was confirmed in the Lutheran Church, May 20, 1945 by Pastor George Heinemirer. He graduated from high school in Bynum, Texas in 1949 and helped his father farm. Bob joined the Air Force in 1951 and served as a jet fighter engine instructor.
He met the love of his life, Glenda Lee Smith, walking home on the highway in 1952.
Bob graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon with a BBA in Accounting on May 22, 1960, receiving his CPA license and worked with Sessions, Gentry and Selby in Cleburne, Texas. He became a partner at Chapman, Stroka, Elms and Schneider, a local accounting firm in Odessa, Texas.
Mr. Chapman and Bob sold their CPA practice to KLM and ventured into properties and the petroleum industry. Bob and Glenda retired back to the Hill country for twenty years and after their first great-grandchild was born, they relocated to Nacogdoches to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Bertha; brother, Billy and sister, Joyce.
Survived by wife, Glenda; children, Sherry Miller and husband Marc of Ajijic, Mexico, Robert Schneider III and wife Glenda of Odessa, Texas, Melissa Johnston and husband Andy of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Rachael Schneider, Mark and Kathy Summers, Ariel Schneider, Alexander and Keri Miller, Robert Schneider IV and wife Jessica and Tyler Johnston; great-grandchildren, Elyse and Lincoln Summers and along came Robert Henry Schneider V!
A graveside service will be held, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.
