Rhondda was born in Tyler, TX, on February 11, 1962. She created childhood memories all over East Texas as her father pastored at many different churches. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1980 and received her Associates Degree in Psychology. The study of human beings fascinated her.
Rhondda is preceded in death by her father, Marcus Earl Black, and many numerous adored pets.
Rhondda is survived by her mother, Mary Lynn (Sanders) Black, brother Mark Black and nieces Hannah and Rebekah Black, and close friend Tara Blackwell. She was loved and will be missed by many family and friends.
Rhondda was a Project Manager during her careers at Xerox, A&E Graphics and Wabash Feed Store. But her project management skills didn’t stop at work. She truly enjoyed managing unique and fun gatherings of friends and family, trips to obscure, beautiful locations, and bountiful garden projects.
After her pets, the great outdoors was her greatest love.
Trips on her motorcycle with her riding friends was a joyous occasion she always looked forward to. Ride on, Ride safe, Ladies. Getting her hands dirty in the garden was a calming, meditative activity she’d loved since childhood. It thrilled her to see the literal fruits of her labor.
Towards the end of her journey she found comfort and reflection at the Victory Worship Center in Houston. Thanks to Pastor Tremayne and Vicki Simoneaux.
A small, private graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 2pm at Cold Spring Cemetery in Garrison, TX.
Honorary Pallbearers:

This is a quote Rhondda wrote not long ago:
“I have lived adventurously, I have loved passionately, I have laughed until I couldn’t breathe. My spirit has been elevated to amazing heights, swimming in abundant joy. I have been surrounded by love from many friends and an amazing family since the day I was born. I am grateful, but the best is yet to come.” -Rhoni Black
