

Mrs. Witt was affectionately known as “Savannah” or “Van” to her friends and family. She was a lifetime resident of Nacogdoches, TX. Savannah was an ordained minister.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 am at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. A private interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
Savannah was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Nolan Witt; brothers, Olan J. McBroom, Reuben Earl McBroom; sisters, Betty Jean McBroom, Lilly Murrel Reynolds, Ruthie Mae Conway and Mary Sue Gage.
She is survived by daughters, Martha Ann (Witt) Brast and husband, Gene of Nacogdoches, TX, Debra Sue (Witt) Porter and husband, Jim of Lufkin; grandsons, Michael Brast of Euless, TX, Mark Brast and wife, Jennifer of Ft Worth, TX, Jad Porter and wife, Renee of Waxahachie, TX, Chris Porter and wife, Delma of Hudson, TX; eight great - grandchildren, Adelyn and Andrew Brast, Nolan, Landon and Preston Porter, Alexis, Savannah and Gunner Porter; and many other extended family.
