

Marilyn Joy Shutt Baldock passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born in Lacon, Illinois, August 29, l936 to Melvin and Helen Nolden Shutt. Marilyn worked as a personal secretary a big part of her life in Ft Worth, Texas. She worked for Mid Continent Supply Co., Scott P. Sayers, Atty., Sperry and Hutchinson Co. (S&H Green Stamps) and retired after 14 years as secretary to the Principal of Eastern Hills High School in Ft. Worth.
She married George Baldock in Ft. Worth, Texas, on March 14, 1987, and they relocated to Nacogdoches, Texas, in 2006. Marilyn & George enjoyed camping in their RV, which included a six-week trip across the country and into Canada and entertaining grandkids. She served in the Volunteer Auxiliary at Nacogdoches Medical Center for many years, was a very active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches and very much enjoyed spoiling her dogs.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband George, parents Melvin and Helen and her brother Roger Shutt. She is survived by Roger’s wife Charlene, brother Steve Shutt and wife Marissa, her son Russell Layne Lee, stepsons Greg Baldock and wife Kathy, Mike Baldock and wife Lori, Grady Baldock and wife Liz, eight step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces and very special friends Patty Johnson and Benita Sanjuan.
Visitation will be Friday, March 21st from 9:30 to 11:00 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches, with a Memorial Service to follow. Anyone wishing to stay for lunch with family and church members after the service are welcome. A graveside service will be at 2:00 at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.
If friends and family wish to honor her memory, the family suggests making donations to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches or to their own church.
