Born April 24, 1956, in Lufkin, she lived in Nacogdoches before moving to Jasper in 1980. She and Richard Charette were married on June 5, 1976.
Linda had operated The Computer Clinic in Jasper for the past 16 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Her survivors include her husband of 40 years, Richard Charette of Jasper; mother, Dovie Mae Arnold of Nacogdoches; daughter, Katrina Mae Charette of Nacogdoches; sons, Richard Charette III and fiancé Evelyn Henriquez of Springfield, Virginia, and Jason Daniel Charette and fiancé Caitlin Martine of Washington, DC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bettie Almond of Oak Grove, La., Dee and Roy Henson of Nacogdoches, Dana Stevens of Nacogdoches, Vanessa Gaddy of Nacogdoches, and Janet and Dick Letney of Brookeland; sister-in-law, Glenda Brown of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Dustin Charette of Washington, DC, Kaitlyn Mae Brasher and Hunter Brasher, both of Pineland, Kylee Danielle Charette of Nacogdoches, and Christina Bryant of Burkeville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janice and Steve Mitchell of Woden, Dwight Carrell of Nacogdoches, Robin and Robert Copeland of Woden, Deneen and John Norman of Broaddus, and Michelle and Rick Rogers of Anderson, SC; faithful canine companion, Chewie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Brown; brother, James Daniel Brown; mother-in-law, May Hamlin Carrell; and brothers-in-law, Marty E. Carrell, Johnny Almond, Alan Christopher, Shane Stevens, and Mike Gaddy.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Cason Monk-Metcalf’s Sunset Chapel, Nacogdoches, with Bro. John Wahl officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery near Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016.
