Kimberly was born on September 13,1990 in Galveston, TX to Lloyd Wayne Huggins and Deborah Dee Karow. She was a Girl Scout and participated in many community activities and spent her first two years as an elementary student at Parkwood Elementary, Deer Park Texas until her family moved to Garrison, Texas in 1998. In 2012 she was a participant in the Miss Texas Pre-Teen Pageant held in Waco, TX.
She was active in a variety of sports at Garrison ISD, and achieved many awards and recognitions, including; 1st Team All-District in Basketball, Softball and Track and Field. She was awarded Female Athlete of the Year in 2008 and 2009. She graduated from Garrison High School in 2009 with a full athletic Basketball scholarship to East Texas Baptist University.
On March 17, 2011, she married Blake Allen Kenner of Nacogdoches and began her life as a stay at home/traveling/homeschooling mom who devoted her life to family and friends even after her cancer diagnosis in May 2020. She bravely fought many battles with cancer, but continued to live her life to the fullest until she was finally called home.
She is survived by her husband and four beautiful daughters; Kaedyn (10), Randeigh (8), Sawyer (3) and Devyn (3). Her death also preceded her parents, Donald and Deborah Hughes of Nacogdoches, Texas and Lloyd and Sharon Huggins of Santa Fe, Texas; brothers, James Huggins of Beaumont Texas, Justin Hughes and wife Brittney Loving of Douglass Texas, Michael Hughes and wife Taylor May of Nacogdoches Texas, Thomas Huggins of Texas City, Texas, and her sister, Chelsea Huggins of Texas City, Texas; niece Alyson Hughes, nephews Hunter Hughes and Carter Hughes, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 16th from 6 to 8pm at Cason Monk Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas. Funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Homer Murray and held Monday, October 17 at 10am at Cason Monk Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas with graveside service and internment to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.
Prior to her demise, Kimberly had requested that, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to help fund her daughters’ college funds. Donations can be made at any Regions Bank location under the name Kaedyn Kenner, account ending in 8745.
