On April 12, 2023, Justin Matthew Locknane, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and son lost his life at the age of 45. Justin was born on February 15, 1978, in Snyder, TX to Ron Locknane and Christine Johnson. He attended Monterrey High School in Lubbock, TX. On January 21, 2016, Justin married the love of his life, Anne Patton Locknane. She was his best friend and partner throughout life for the last 7 years.
The most important thing to Justin was family. His four children – Trevor, Tyler, Alex, and Aaron were the light of his life. He would say, being able to watch all four of his children graduate high school and transition into their college careers was his biggest accomplishment. He had a deep respect for his father, mother and sister and dearly loved his nephews and niece. Any time one of his family members needed something, no matter where he had to go or what he had to do, he would be there. Taking care of his family members was his true purpose in life. We could always count on Justin for honest advice, even if it was tough to hear. He cared enough to be brutally honest when needed.
Justin tried and succeeded in many different careers before ultimately following in his father’s footsteps and founding 007 Transport, LLC – a freight and cargo delivery company. Justin was an exceptionally skilled driver and spent many hours delivering across the United States.
Justin loved gadgets, especially LED lights. I’m certain if God would allow, he would be putting LED lights all over Heaven. He loved, loved, loved his truck and spent many hours adding every last gadget to it that he could. Music was always a big part of his life and something he shared with his sister. He was always cracking jokes and was definitely the life of the party. He lived and loved BIG. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys and had all the latest Cowboys gear!
He is survived by his lovely wife, Anne Patton Locknane of San Antonio; his four beautiful children, Trevor, Tyler, Alex and Aaron of Toledo, OH; his mother and stepfather, Christine and Michael Johnson of Midland, TX; his step-mother, Diane Selby of Lubbock, TX; his sister, Misty Locknane of Odessa, TX; his step-sister, Melissa Locknane of Midland, TX; his nephews, Andrew and Devin Collier of Odessa, TX and his niece, Hailey Selby of Odessa, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Ron Locknane, his grandparents on both sides as well as, several uncles.
Services will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 10am at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, TX.
