Jimmy was a coast to coast trucker most of his life until becoming disabled and it was at this time he and Evah began traveling all over the US in their motor home “Sally B” selling and distributing Stanley Home Products. They enjoyed this time together making almost all of the states of the USA and also lots of Canada. Evah says “God has blessed us royally with 30 years together.”
His survivors are wife, Evah N. Smith; daughters, Eyvette Phillips, Elaine Renter, and Eyvonne Herod; his mother, Lillie Smith; brother, Donald Smith; sister, Kimberly Pleasant; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Smith; and his father, Lewis E. Smith.
A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at the Community Room of Commerical Bank of Texas, located at 215 E. Main Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
