Jewel Thomas Godi, age 87, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 after a brief illness. Jewel was born November 28, 1934 in Grayson County, Texas to parents William Godi and Gennie Solomon Godi.
Jewel proudly served in the United States Army, and went on to work for the Acme Brick Company, while continuing to attend college. He retired in 2000 as plant manager after 45 years of service. At Acme he was awarded the President's list three times in 1987, 1988, and 1994. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing his guitar, and being around those he loved.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Anne M. Godi, sons, Michael and wife Lucia of New Braunfels, Texas, and Mitchell and wife Priscilla of Barnsdale, Oklahoma; granddaughter; Alison G. Looney of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; and two caregivers Ashlan Wade and Sheila Mareno.
A visitation for Jewel will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. Following the visitation will be a Rosary at 2:30pm. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 5127 North Street, Nacogdoches, Texas.
