Jimmy was born to Freddie (Williamson) Stubblefield and Jack Stubblefield on January 18, 1943 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was a welder for 30 plus years, working in multiple states across the US and overseas. Jimmy was an avid gun collector over the years and loved to read books. He enjoyed morning coffee at the local Chireno Cafe and visiting with friends. Jimmy loved spending time with his family and adored his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He is survived by wife Billie (Murdock) Stubblefield of Chireno; brothers, George Stubblefield and wife Inez of Chireno, Richard Stubblefield and wife Ann of Chireno, Jackie Stubblefield of Chireno, and Mark Stubblefield of Chireno; sisters, Stacy (Stubblefield) Corley and husband Ted of Garrison and Shelly (Stubblefield) Lackey and husband Jay of Nacogdoches.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie (Williamson) Stubblefield and Jack Stubblefield; son, Terry Lynn Stubblefield.
A graveside service for Jimmy will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery on FM 95 South of Martinsville, Texas. Services led by Larry Poe.
The family will receive friends at Chireno Baptist Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' memory may be made to Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Martinsville, Texas.
