Born October 31, 1950, Mr. Langford was a native and former longtime resident of Nacogdoches, Texas. Gary and Caye had moved to Alto, Texas, a few months ago.
Serving during Vietnam, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Langford, a member of the Baptist church, had retired from Stephen F. Austin State University after several years of service as a mechanic. Gary had a great love for the outdoors and related activities.
He was preceded in death by his father, E.A. "Jack" Langford, in 2012; and his mother, Pauline Moore Langford, in 2008.
His survivors include his wife, Caye Lyn Langford of Alto, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Marqus and Shirley Langford of Nacogdoches, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Ken Collins of Alto, Texas; grandchildren, Lance Collins and wife Madison, Darren Collins, Craig Collins and wife Laney, Samuel Langford, David Langford, Skylar Langford, and Oscar Langford; great-grandchildren, Knox Collins and Emeri Collins; a sister, Linda Perkins; and a brother, Gerald Langford.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Bro. Bruce Robinson and Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, located off Hwy 21 East.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the funeral home..
Pallbearers will be Lance Collins, Darren Collins, Craig Collins, Samuel Langford, David Langford, Oscar Langford, Lane Jackson, and Josh Castillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Knox Collins and Jared Jackson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
