Faye Johnson of Nacogdoches entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 14, 2019, at her home at the age of 83. She was born October 19, 1935, in Baytown, Texas to parents John Henry Bailey and Bernice Raspberry Bailey.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park officiated by Faye’s nephew, Pastor Andy Cherry.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Johnson, Ryan Musser, Scott Musser, Randy Johnson, Jim Musser, and Lyn Davis.
Faye will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will truly be missed by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lela Davis; and husband of 54 years, Haden Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Randy Johnson and wife Brenda of Nacogdoches; daughter, Melissa Musser and husband Jim of College Station; grandchildren, Jared Johnson and wife Carrie Jo of Nacogdoches, Ashley Tarrant and husband John of Weatherford, Texas, Ryan Musser of Houston, Scott Musser of New York City, nephew, Lyn Davis of Nacogdoches; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to Leah Brasher, Hospice of East Texas, and special caregivers Rhonda and Shawn Henry for the excellent care given to Faye.
