Evalyn P Patterson

She was an only child and spoiled like it. Her parents owned Prudhome Grocery in Nacogdoches. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a Master's in English. Once married, she taught many grades in many places as she moved with her family. Ultimately, she was in sales with William George Co. in Lufkin, Texas. She won many awards in sales during her time with William George Co. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, watching birds and wildlife, and reading. She particularly enjoyed reading God's word from the King James Bible.

Eve was saved later in life and was a member of Appleby Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas. She loved to hear our church family sing and Bro. Dennis Anderson preach like a house of fire! She was generous to her family and loved them all BIG!

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, John W. Patterson; son, Ronn Bass and wife Kelli; grandsons Michael and Nathan Byrd and Lukas Bass.

She is preceded in death by her parents C.B. and Lena Mae Prudhome and daughter Terri Lynn Bass Byrd.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Harbor Hospice.

A visitation for Evalyn will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Appleby Baptist Church, 13995 US-59, Nacogdoches, TX 75965, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Evalyn will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches, Texas.
