Charlotte Loving-Rutledge, known affectionately as ‘Mama Char’ was born on November 4, 1970 to Charles Loving and the late Brenda Loving. She was the third born, and had two older brothers who were her best friends. Charlotte was called home on January 9, 2021.
In her younger years Charlotte was heavily involved with her church, and she often attended church camps. She was a devout member of the United Pentecostal Church in Jacinto City. Charlotte attended Galena Park High School.
Charlotte’s greatest joys in life were her two beautiful daughters, Tamara Allen-Loving and Tara Loving-Grosvenor. She spent her later years in life shaping them into the strong women they have become today. Charlotte was also blessed with four bonus kids; Ashley, Brianna, Bobby, and Ricky, all of whom she loved and adored very much.
Charlotte found true love with Richard Rutledge, who she wed on July 8, 2015 after dating for many years. Richard was not only Charlotte’s husband, but he was her best friend, her soulmate, and her happily ever after.
Charlotte was very outgoing and enjoyed hobbies like crafts and skating. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Her brothers were very close to her, and she always wanted to be surrounded by her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Her brothers Glenn, Robert, and David meant the world to her.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Brenda.
Charlotte leaves behind to cherish her memory her father; Charles Loving (Laura), brothers; Glenn (Linda), Robert, and David (Brook), daughters; Tamara Allen-Loving, Tara Loving-Grosvenor (Fredrick), step children; Ashley (Josh), Brianna, Bobby, and Ricky, grandson, James, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Lastly, the family would like to pay acknowledgment to Charlotte’s closest friends, Jessica, Kimberly, Tammy, and Cheryl. You were all like her sisters, and she loved you all very much, as well as your families. You all have special moments with Charlotte that will never be forgotten. We will all have moments of sadness, but she will be with us forever, and she will be in our hearts forever.
