Thomas Charles Mackey, age 82, was born April 21, 1937 in Muskegon, MI to Donley and Tressa (Murphy) Mackey. Thomas passed away April 12, 2020 at Hallstrom Castle Assisted Living in Twin Lake, MI.
After graduating from Muskegon Catholic High School in 1956, he served his country in the US Army in Korea. He retired from Sealed Power after 39 years. He married Judie Sue Knoll on March 25, 1961 and they spent 59 years together. They had 3 children, Dale (Tammy) Mackey, Brenda (Craig) Compeau, and Scott (Andrea) Mackey, who all survive him. The pride and joy of his life was spending time with and being involved in his grandchildren's' activities: Tom (Michelle) Mackey, Angela (Chris) Bonter, Ryan Compeau, Erin Mackey (fiancé Christopher Mitchell), and Scott Mackey. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Grayson Shelton and Oliver Mitchell. They all loved to go up north to the "lake house" with their Gramps!
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kyran.
Due to current restrictions on social gatherings, a private memorial and burial with family will be held at a later date.
