Tera Kay Maclam was born on January 25 th , 1982, to William “Bill” and Wendy Maclam in Grand Haven, MI. She lived in the Orchard View area until middle school when her family moved to Ravenna, where she remained for the rest of her school days. As an adult, she settled in Muskegon, working in the medical field as a home health aide. This job was perfect for her love of caring for others and her hard-working nature.
Tera was always full of energy and lived life to the fullest. She was so outgoing, everyone knew her. She was lovingly known as “Aunt T” to countless friends. She was up for any adventure, especially if it involved rock hunting or a good sunset. Every summer, she looked forward to going to watch her nephew in demolition derbies and off-road racing. She would let you know if you forgot to tell her about it too! She hated to miss those moments, hanging out with her sister in the cheering section. There was nothing in this world that brought Tera more joy than being a mother to her girls, Kaylee and MacKenzie. She shared a love of art with them. Whether it was coloring, drawing, or painting those rocks they’d found, it was time she treasured. It was the simplest things that brought the most joy; an everyday phone call to check in, driving around listening to music, laying around and watching the clouds and stars in the sky, or an epic midnight snack run. She was so proud to watch her baby girl, MacKenzie, graduate this summer knowing she had big things ahead. And, she was so excited to watch her oldest, Kaylee, marry Shane this fall. She knew the dress they had picked out was perfect! Tera’s love for them was fierce and will always be felt.
Tera is survived by her mother, Wendy Maclam; her father, William “Bill” Maclam III; daughter, Kaylee (Shane Morton) Payne, along with her father, Russ Payne, Jr.; daughter, Mackenzie Eskola, along with her father, CJ Eskola; sister, Tabitha Munford; nephew, Ashton England; Papa Russ Payne; special cousins that were more like siblings, Janice, Kenny, Jarrid, and Dusti; many aunts and uncles; several cousins and extended nieces and nephews; best friend, Cyd Babcock; and countless others that loved her.
