Steve was an avid hunter and loved to spend time on the family farm. He worked for Sealed Power Piston Ring for over 42 years, and was a member of the UAW 637.
Preceding him in death were his parents Jessie and Thelma Ackerman, and his brother Bert Ackerman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Ackerman; 2 sons, Ken (Becky) Ackerman, and Rod (Lori) Ackerman; grandchildren Kyle, Jared, Alyssa, Amanda, Kara, and Brenna; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, LaVonne (Paul) Rehfus; sister-in-law Norene Ackerman; brother-in-law Michael (Penny) Pickel; many nieces, nephews, and extended and friends.
