Bobaloo was born November 06, 1968, the son of Roverto and Juanita “Jane” Florez. He was a
1986 Oakridge graduate. He tried college but couldn’t turn the computer on. That was the end of
his educational journey.
Bobaloo was blessed with three children and loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed
camping at Round Lake, going up North to the family property “Uncle Notch’s Property”, enjoyed
rides by the lake, football – Oakridge football, golfing, horseshoes, softball, and volleyball. His
favorite line was “Do you want to watch my tapes?” Sports were his passion. Bobaloo was a
lifetime fan of The Detroit Lions and Michigan Football, as he would say “GO BLUE OR F YOU!”
Bobaloo worked at Gerber, Free Spirt Roofing, and Gonyon’s Well Drilling over the years. He
found joy in being around people and making them laugh. Bobaloo was full of personality and
one of a kind. If you met him, you never forgot him.
Bobaloo is survived by; Janella (Corey Duff) Florez, Amanda Florez, and Ryan (Dulce
Mendoza) Florez; grandchildren, Jaxon Morse, Amazing Powers, Jaeli Duff, Aryanna E
Mendoza - Florez, Dominic J Mendoza - Florez, Amry King, Legend Duff, and Miguel A
Mendoza - Florez “Little Miguel” - Florez. His sister; Tara (Richie) Hughes, brother; Gabe Florez;
nieces and nephews; Camri Lee Florez, Jalen Hughes, Jaeger Hughes, McKenzie “Mckinley”
Terpstra, Cassidy Florez, Cali Florez, Jayce Hughes, Gabe “Little G” Florez, Carmella Florez;
great nephew; Gino Anthony Hughes. Along with two important people; Cousin Vicky Speck
and Don Franks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Roverto & Juanita; Great Grandparents, Uncles,
Aunts, and family friends.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life memorial on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 1pm-5pm
at the VFW Post 7729, 6285 E. Apple Ave, in Muskegon MI
