Robert was born May 3, 1959 in Muskegon to Clarence and Elizabeth (Ramey) Dawson. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Robert was a member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research, Inc., and worked at Hackley Hospital for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Avis Dawson.
Robert is survived by his daughter Laquetta Walker, and sons Brandon Dawson and Willie McCoy; grandchildren Quamar Neal, Dezaray Dawson, Derion Dawson, and Sakari Dawson; siblings, Laverne Dawson, Lawrence (Debra) Dawson, Wayne Dawson, Patricia Dawson, Brooks (Schazell) Dawson, Brenda (Eddie) Dawson, and Aretha Dawson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Robert's life will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 3pm - 7pm at Smith Ryerson, 650 Wood Street, Muskegon, Michigan 49442.
