Dick Oct 4th 2019 I set here thinking of your last day and night we had together before the Lord called you to your new home in heaven the next morning Oct 5th, 2019 at 10:07a.m. I really didn't understand it at the time what was happening. Things happened during the evening and all night. Hospice lady was here at 4:30 a.m as I requested. She never said to call my family or anything and left. My daughters were here helping me get him up in his recliner until they said we needed to get my son and family here. He came and went to the bedside and asked his dad to take his finger of which he did. Dick took his last breath as I watched as my son said Mom he is gone I said NO he isn't. I truthfully did not know he was dying. Hospice was terrible as she lied on her report that I received  stating as she told us the end was near. With God as my witness she did not. . You are in heaven now with no pain. Miss you so much and love you forever. Your loving wife Jane.

Dick it will soon be 4 years since you left me. I sure do miss you so much especially at night and seeing your recliner setting there empty. The walls and the Lord are who I talk to all the time. I know that the kids all miss you and Jaylon and Bryson are remembering and miss you so much.  We have 5 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Her name is Mackenlei Marie and she is beautiful. You would be so proud of all of them and know what a wonderful time you would have with them. The Lord decided that you had suffered enough and I know you also thought that. I watched you suffer and also knew it. It is certainly not the same here without you but I must go on and try and stay strong but it sure is hard. I talk to you all the time and wonder what you are doing up there in that beautiful Heaven, Are the streets really made of gold? The kids are growing so much Jaylon will soon be 9. Bryson is almost 8 1/2,  Maison will be 3 and Bennett will be 3, Aiden will be 2 and Makenlei is almost 6 months old and growing like a weed.  Jaylon is playing football and Bryson is playing soccer and I try hard to make all of the games that I can and you would be so proud. Our winter will be here soon and I guess we will probably have some snow but that really doesn't bother me that much anymore. I am getting a little feeble at times and hard to walk but know that the Lord is with me all the time. The kids are taking good care of me as they always did but they work so hard everyday at their jobs. Wish I would win the Lottery or come into some money so I would be able to help them. Michael and Karlee are engaged but no wedding date has been set. Well I guess I should go get something to eat. Are you eating good? What kind of food do they give you?

As I set here alone thinking of you and wishing I could talk to you again it is so hard and the tears come down. I know it was time for the Lord to take you to Heaven with him and take away your suffering but I miss you so very much. I have started watching some of the video's we made so I can hear your voice again and see your face and see all the good times you had. The memories are so great and so many. Our family is growing so much and we have 5 great grandsons now and another baby due in May if 2018. 
Jaylon will be 8, Bryson is 7. Maison and Bennett will be 2 soon and Aiden will soon be 8 months old. They are so very precious and know you are looking down to see each and everyone if them. Our grandchildren are all doing good. Randi (Eric), Todd (Megan), Michael (Karlee), Ashley, Trisha (Darik), and Marissa. Marissa as you know graduated from Michigan State and is now at the Chicago School of Dentistry. Our children Mike (Susie), Ruth (Terry), and Dawn (Ernie) are working working working. They are all around here trying to do some things that need to be done. I am trying to do what I can but since you passed my health hasnt been the best but can't let that stop an old bird like me.

Hi Dad, just setting here thinking of you as you 76th birthday was yesterday. Yup you caught up with me again but not for long as you well know that July will be here soon. Eric and Randi had their baby boy Aiden Lee Sheffer on Feb 16th, 2017. He is so cute and looks like both of them. I am sure you already know this as you have been looking down. Went to Florida to see Dawn on Jan 14 but came back on Feb 7th to await the arrival of our 5th great grandson. You would have so much fun with these boys. Jaylon is in 2nd grade, Bryson is in 1st grade, Maison is now 18 months old and Bennett is 18 months old and our Aiden is now 7 weeks old. The rest of the family is doing o.k. We all sure do miss you a lot but know you have no more pain like you had down here. It sure isn't the same honey here in this empty house as one time I thought I heard you call me and I looked around but you weren't here. Some if the family celebrated your birthday last night. I made your favorite yellow cake with chocolate frosting and we had pizza. Well will close for now as doing some embroidery items. Hey Dad!  Yesterday was a rough for me with it being two years since I lost my friend, my hero, my Dad! Mom has been wanting to go to Red Lobster for the Endless Shrimp, so we took her last night and celebrated you!!!!  Mike, Ernie and I all had a Bud Light (tall) for you and Jaylon ordered Snow Crab (Adult Dinner) and ate all of it. We had tears and we had laughs all in your honor!  Ruth and family were unable to attend but we ordered extra shrimp, took it to them and made sure they celebrated as well! We all miss and love you so very much!!   Dawn

Thinking about you always but realizing that you passed away 2 years ago and left us to go with the Lord. We all miss you so much and you left us many memories to laugh about, talk about and cry about. You were so special to your family and also lots of other people. It's lonely down here in our house without you as your recliner is empty, kitchen chair is empty and your side of the bed still has your pillow on it. The kids are always around so they take care of me as you told some of them this before you died but you forgot to tell me you were going away so soon. I still can't understand this but know you probably didn't want to worry me.everyone seems to be doing o.k. They are all working a lot like you and I did for our lifetime before we retired. Don't worry about me as all I have to do is pick up the phone and someone will be here to help me. Jaylon is playing football and Bryson is playing soccer and they both are quite the young men. They are doing good in school and like it. Our babies Maison and Bennett are going to be 1 year old this month and you would cherish these two like you did Jaylon and Bryson. Randi and Eric will know soon this month what they are having and we are all so excited for them and to find out. I say Lord just let the baby be healthy whether it be a boy or girl. All the other grandchildren are working and doing good. We and their parent taught them to do this well. You would be proud of all of them.
 Sorry the Tigers didn't do good this year but there is always another year to come. I am doing as well as can be expected without you but it sure is strange because everywhere I go in the house there is something to remind me of you and I cry.. We did a lot of vacations with the kids and we did a lot with just you and I and I truly thank you for all of these good times as they help me day to day and month to month and year to year. Thinking about you today like any other day!  It is hard to believe that it will be two years that you have been gone.  Sure do miss you!   Jaylon is doing football right now,  I know you are watching over him as a couple of weeks ago he was running for a touchdown and just when he scored it started raining.  I said those are not raindrops, they are tears of happiness from  Poppie!    He is in 2nd grade and so handsome!  Ashley is do good too!  Working hard.  Eric and Randi find out on October 13th if they are having a girl or a boy.  We are so excited and happy for them as I know you are.  Sure wish you could be here for all of these special times. It's hard to believe it's been almost two years that you have been gone! So many times I wish I could pick up the phone and call you. We are all doing pretty good, we are leaving for Chicago Thursday to celebrate Marissas white coat ceremony , I am so so proud of her and you would be to. She will make a great dentist and have a good life for herself. Michael and Karlee and Maison are also doing good, Mais is getting so big and will be a year old October 8, you would love him I know that for sure , he will carry on your name. Havent talked to you in awhile as dealing with my grief and a few medical problems I have. Trying now to get me put on the house at 1% so I can get the homestead again to help with the taxes and not to be told I am a renter here. got it thru a quick claim deed today that I took to the Register of Deeds but there are other issues I am told that has to be done. Always something to do. Know that you are doing fine up there and I talk to you all the time and some crying but kn0w that you will not be coming back but I will see you up there someday.The babies are now 9 months old, getting teeth and trying to walk. your buddies Jaylon and Todd are growing like weeds. Dawn and I took them to the Muskegon Fairgrounds yesterday to see the animals. It was fund. I watch them 2 days a week on Tues and Thursdays. They help me a lot and they still talk about you at times as you have many memories. Missy will be leaving for Chicago for the school of Dentistry on Aug 19th for 4-6 years but of course will be coming home but we will be going there also. Michael, Karlee and Maison are doing great. Terry and Ruth are building a big garage. Todd, Megan, Darik and Trisha are doing good and working. Eric and Randi are expecting a baby in March of 2017. They are excited as we all are and can hardly wait. Know that you also would be excited. Well, just miss you like hell but know that you are not suffering anymore so that is satisfaction to me. I just cleaned all you clothes out with Dawns help and letting the kids take what they want. Was really hard to do that as I touched everyone of your shirts and know basically when you wore it. Please forgive me for not writing sooner but is hard also to do. Love you dearly and of course think of all the times and things that we did. Hi Dad just me again wanting to let you know that I am flying to Florida to see Dawn tomorrow. It is Friday night on February 5,2016 @ 10:00 P.M. Ruth, Terry, Trisha, Bryson and Bennett came over to help me get the rest of my things together and to see me before I left. Last night almost cancelled going as it is so hard with you not here to go with me. We always did our traveling together and it just is not the same. I fly out at 1:05 American Airlines so look down from heaven and maybe you will see my plane. I sure wish it was possible but we can always imagine it sure do love and miss you a lot. Bryson and Bennett and Maison have been sick with stuff that is going around.  I Know you would want me to go on but Dad I am having a hard time. This house is so lonely without you here and all I can do is stay up late at night and don't want to get up and face the next day. I know I have to go on but so hard. Hi sweetie, just a few things to say this snowy snowy night. Setting here before trying to go to bed thinking of you and missing you so much. Everyone here is fine. The boys Jaylon and Bryson are getting so big handsome young men you would be proud of. Our babies Maison and Bennett are also getting so big too fast. You would love them so much as you do Jaylon and Bryson. Pretty lonely for me here without you. Know that things will never be the same and wouldn't want them to be for you with the suffering and pain you had. I know in my heart you are doing good and not hurting anymore but it will never be the same for me here without you. Mike, Ashley, Ernie and Terry have been shoveling the driveway for me. Michael, Karlee and Maison are getting ready to fly to CA to see her family, Mike, Susie and Marissa are flying to Las Vegas for Mike's work. Marissa is working the car show in Detroit and everyone else is working in their jobs everyday. Been taking your shirts and sweatshirts and making pillows for whomever wants them. Hi Dad, well it's Christmas day and I am missing you so much. Just went to Dawn and Ernies and watched them open their gifts. Ashley, Jaylon, Randi and Eric were there. Had some breakfast but came home for a few minutes before going to Mike's house. Then after that to Ruth's. They will be coming back over here for opening of gifts and dinner. Sure is not the same without you but know you are looking down. Am going to stop by the cemetery but know you aren't there but need too anyway. You loved Christmas but you are celebrating up there as it is Jesus's birthday today so there must be celebrations up there as this is the most important day of the year. Got the families a memory book from the funeral with all of the pictures and words that have been written in it. I don't want to ruin anyone's day by crying but can't help it as miss you so much but know that I can't have you back but will be up there someday with you. Dad, today is opening day of muzzleloader season, didn't go north yet as I have two bucks out back at home, 5 point and a 7. Susie and I are going with Michael, Karlee, and the big guy Maison to Grand Rapids to get a few things for Christmas. Stopping at one of you favorite stores Cabelas , still looking at crossbows. We don't have any snow and not very cold but that will help the deer . I still sure miss you going, it's just not the same at all, I start crossing the mackinaw bridge and it's like I hit a wall, someone is missing. Hope someday I'll be able to take Maison and show him all you showed me in the woods, you and I shot a lot of deer over the years. Well better close, till we meet again Mike

Dad, your granddaughter Marissa got great news today. She is accepted to Mid Western University School of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove , Illinois. She is so so excited and we are very proud of her accomplishments as she has worked so hard. I know you would be so proud to. She called grandma and she to is very happy and excited and we know you are looking down on all of this. Please keep your hand on Marissa  as she takes this next step in her life. Mike

Bennett Richard Stingle was born October 20, 2015. He was 7lbs 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.  He has lots of dark hair.  You would be so proud!!

It has been a year and almost two months and words cannot express the loss that continues in my heart. So many times I just wish I could call you, hear your voice, hug you, share special times with you.......you always knew how to put a smile on my face. Until we meet again you will remain in my thoughts and heart each and every day!  Miss you so much.   Jaylon continues to talk about Poppie.  He misses you too. He is going to play basketball. He remembers when you played PIG with him. ❤  Many things have changed since we lost you but we continue to strive to keep family traditions going, sometimes it is hard as the kids have grown into adults and have their own lives and for some reason tradition is just not as important in their generation as ours.  But no worries I will do the best I can to keep tradition as I know that is what you would do.   Mom misses you more than ever but is being strong, you would be so proud of her.    Eric and Randi are doing well as is Ashley. So proud of them for who they have become.  Bernie continues to work hard. He cooked the turkey for Thanksgiving, carrying on your tradition. Hi Dad. Just a note to tell you how proud you would be of the kids. Todd and Megan are all settled in their house.  Megan is now an official LPN and starts back in January to get her RN.  Todd is doing great at work and loves it.  They now have a puppy to go with the cats.  Darick and Trisha are all settled in their house too.  Darick is keeping very busy at work too working lots of hours.  Trisha is back to work after the baby and is doing good.  Bryson is doing great in school and loves it.  Really starting to read good and taking off.  He loves his little brother Bennett Richard.  He has lost two teeth now.   Terry and I are doing good too.  Working on getting Christmas lights up and have to go get a tree.  Went shopping with mom and she got her new sewing machine. We told her Merry Christmas from you.   She will get lots of use out of it as that is what helps keep her busy.   We had our second Thanksgiving without you here.. It just isn't the same but we are carrying on the traditions. Well Dad, it's the last day of rifle season, so far no bucks worth shooting. A few small ones, a six point but not what I'm looking for, I guess I'm getting too picky. Muzzleloading opens Friday December 4 and I'll be up in the woods trying for a nice buck. The UP was really slow, Michael saw a decent buck but only a small window to shoot and wasn't sure if he was an eight pointer or not. Just got back from Billy's camp and saw a deer but nothing big enough to shoot, still had a good time. Maison is getting really big and is my pride and joy, I'm sure he will be swinging a bat and carrying a football soon enough, hope he takes after his dad and great great grandpa and he should be a good ball player. I still sit in those woods and think about all the times we went and it's just not the same without you, you made me promise I wouldn't quit going. Michael and I had a great time in the UP and really enjoyed having him. Well better go fo now as I have to clean up my rifles and get the muzzleloader so ready for Friday , I'll make sure I watch my fingers around the barrel, ha ha.I have everything ready for the snow at your house so Ma should be good to go. Hi Dad. Just me again to fill you in on what is going on here. Know you are looking down but also know after 54 years of being married that you like details. HA HA.  This day after Thanksgiving Nov 26th is chilly and rainy. It sure did rain yesterday. Mike was hunting with Billy yesterday as he saw no deer up in the UP. Michael said he saw one on his camera but no shot. Ernie, Dawnie, Ashley, Jaylon, Randi, Eric, Terry, Ruth, Trisha, Darik, Bryson, Bennett, Todd, Megan were here with me for Thanksgiving. Ernie and Jaylon did the turkey and dressing. Todd did the pumpkin pies like he did with you and Randi brought her apple pie like she always does. The girls brought the rest  like they always do and everything was good. Just not the same and never will be. Michael cooked the turkey and Susie did the rest of dinner at their house as Karlee's mother was here and they were expecting more relatives from Ohio so they thought they would have their own dinner with that many people but they never came. Sure wish we could have had dinner altogether though but things change and happen. Our babies are growing so fast and sweet as can be. Jaylon is now 6, Ashley turned 26 and Marissa will soon be 23. She is waiting to see which Dental school she will be going to. Sure is lonely around here without you. The craft shows are done thank God as tired of them now time to think about Xmas and you know I am not always enthused about this as gets so confused over what to buy. Well here I am again on this cold weather day of Monday just waiting for Halloween to be here this week end.I went to the pumpkin field with Randi, Eric, Dawn, Ernie, Ashley and Jaylon and Eric bought me my pumpkin. I carved it myself and was really proud as havent done that in a long time like many years. You always enjoyed going to Randi and Eric"s for Halloween to see the kids at the window getting their candy and enjoying the food that Randi always fixes. We all sure do miss you a lot. Randi and Eric had some sad news as she had to have some surgery done but came out alright as the Lord knows what is best at this time. Trisha had her baby boy (our 4th great grandson Bennett Richard Stingle on Oct 20th. Beautiful baby boy 8lbs 7oz. The kids are growing so fast. Bryson has lost 2 teeth and Jaylon has lost 1 so far. I am getting ready for the MS craft show and am sure after the OV show I dont think I will be doing anymore. Am getting tired and stressed out over these. Will go for now and will be back soon. Hi Dad.  Well today is the day you will get another great grandson. This makes 4. I sit here and think about how excited and proud you would be if you were here.  I know that you will be here leading the day with us but sure would love to see your face. Make sure you tell God to guide the doctors hands and to keep Trisha safe through her surgery. Hi Dad, just a little note as we sit here the night before Marissa's interview for dental school in Chicago. We are staying the night at a Marriott about two miles from the college, I have to drop her for 6 hours so Susie and I will find something to do before we head home. Another big deal is now you have another great grandson, Maison Michael Hilliard born to Michael and Karlee. Michael said he will be able to carry on grandpas name. He was 8.7 pounds and 20.5 inches with big hands and feet, great color and a very healthy baby. Sure wish you were here to see him but I'm sure your looking down and know he was a gift from God. He looks like Michael when he was little, can't wait to take him hunting. Michael will make a great dad and Karlee a good mom, I'm really enjoying him so much. Ma went to hospital when he was born and got to hold him right after he was born, she loved it. Well better go for now, love ya mike

Today is the day of your funeral. Went to the cemetery to talk to you and there was services there today at the Funeral home. Couldn't help but think of your huge funeral and how beautiful it was. Yesterday our 3rd great grandson was born to Michael and Karlee. He was born at 9:42 and weighted in at 8lbs 20 1/2 inches. They named him Maison Michael and what a healthy baby. Know that you would be as proud as a peacock. Mike and Susie are two proud grand parents. Going to go to OVEE next week and help in Jaylons classroom and will see if I can help in Bryson's class also if they need me. You knew I always wanted to be an elementary school teacher so maybe this will help me. Trisha and Darik are anxiously awaiting for their baby to be born. It will be so much fun watching Bryson with his baby brother. Don't know what name or any other details but will let you know when it happens. Ashley is doing well in her new job and is working at the same office where I go. Jaylon and Bryson are growing like "weeds". Todd and Megan are doing good in their house. Randi and Eric are doing good and getting ready to go on their routine fall trip to see the colors. Missy has to go to Chicago with her Mom and Dad to get registered for her dental school.  She is on the cover of the Moose Jaws catalog along with also in parts of the catalog. She is a beautiful girl. Hope you were able to see the lanterns we set off in the sky on Oct 5th at the cemetery. They were so pretty. Dawnie and Ernie are doing fine as is Ruth and Terry. As for me I am hanging in there waiting for the day I can be together with you and just taking a day  at a time. The kids are all great and taking care of me like you wanted them too. Today October 5, 2015 marks one year since you passed away.  What a roller coaster of a year.  First of all your loss was absolutely devastating, but also a blessing as you were healed and free from pain.  We have all taken care of mom just as we promised. Jaylon is growing like a weed, 1st grade, playing football and even scored a 63 yard touchdown, you would be so proud. He got a new dog and named him Sparty. He speaks of you often and misses you lots. Wish he would have had longer with you but thankful he had the time he did.  He will always have his Poppie in his heart.  Ashley begins her new job today, first shift which will be better for her and Jaylon.  She is doing good, you would be proud.  Eric kept his promise and your NeeNee is now Mrs. Eric Sheffer. What a beautiful wedding. She was as beautiful as ever just the way you knew she would be. She pinned your blue hanky under her dress, pinned your thumbprint charm on her dress and had your picture tied on her bouquet. Although your absence was felt deeply,  you were there in spirit and definitely in all our hearts.  All the grandkids represented you on the dance floor with mom. Ernie (Bernie) continues to work hard utilizing what you have taught him.  He had a blast at the wedding holding many union meetings. He knew you would have definitely attended the meetings.  Me well I take things a day at a time; wishing you were still here to talk to, give me a hug and tell me everything will be ok.  You could always read me like a book and always had my back.  Of course I would only want you here if you were well as I would not want to see you suffer anymore, which is not possible so I find peace knowing you are in a better place.  Thank you for all of the memories, they keep you with us each and everyday.  Until we meet again dad, I love you more than words can say. Hi Dad. Here I set by myself thinking snout 1 year ago. Your last day on the earth was not a good one for me.  The Tesmans came from Indiana to see you. You were talking  to them and kidding Carter about girlfriends I believe. After that you didn't talk anymore. And had to be taken to the bathroom by Eric, Stacey and me. I didn't know that your life was going to end Sunday morning. Ruth stayed with me and I didn't sleep all night due to the noises you were making. I  had Ruth call Hospice. I should have been calling the kids but didn't that you were dying. This is all I can write tonight  as thinking about you and crying. Love you so much and miss you.

Well Dad , it's been almost been a year since you left and it sure has not been very easy. Would give anything just to call you and talk. Michael and Karlee are about to give you a great grandson who can carry on your name, Maison Michael Hilliard you would be so proud. I know Michael sure misses you as do myself, Susie and Marissa. You should have heard her sing at the wedding, amazing! I'm starting to put a few things in the hunting trailer to get tea day for the trip to our hunting spot, it's still not the same with out you. All this doesn't seem real to me and honestly it's been a pretty rough go for me this past year, I can't shake the pain of you gone. I go by the cemetery every morning a say morning Gramps, hope your listening. Well Dad here I am again finally. I am doing much better now and you would be happy that I am trying to adjust life without you. Boy is it hard. Know you are looking down to see how things are going as  you were the rock of this family. Randi and Eric will be getting married on Sat September 12th at Crockery Creek Rv Camp Ground where you like it so well. Tried to go camping but my heart wasnt in it without  you. Mike moved the trailer out there and set it up. Terry and Ruth came out with the golf cart and put up a screen house. My sister came in and was up there with me. Mike will be pulling the trailer out again on Sept 10 or 11 to stay until after the wedding.  All of us had a beautiful wedding shower at the campground hall. They are such nice people. We are having a baby shower this Sat August 8th at Mike and Susies for Karlee and Michael at Mike and Susies house. Jaylon and Bryson are growing like weeds. Jaylon is at football practice everyday but not going to see if as I was told I might distract him. I know that if you were here you would be right there. Ashley just sent a text recording of the practice today and he made a touchdown. Bryson will be having some ear surgery on the 21st of Aug and then will be starting soccer thereafter. Trisha will be having her baby around the 24h of Oct and I believe that Karlee will be the 1st of Oct. A day doesnt go by that I dont think of something that is in our memories and what we did together. God I miss you so much but know that you are in the Lords home now and free of pain. Sure do wish I was there with you but the Lord will take me when he is ready. Must go now and try and get some rest. Sometimes I can sleep and sometimes I cant. Love you so much. Hi Dad, just a few notes today. On June 5th you were up in heaven now for 8 months. sure to miss you so much. things down here are about the same old stuff. trying to get things organized and written up so when I pass away there will be things written down. so sorry you didnt feel like you could talk to me about things that had to be done before you left me. trying to do my best to do this. oh well, that is all I can do. going to start watching the boys some as out of school now. working on 50 hats for the fishing association. enough for now.  love you lots and do want to mention that I have Comcast Security now and it sure makes a difference in my sleeping. having a hard time doing this with you not here but cant be anymore. Well honey it is raining here today  but guess it is nice up there as the rain coming down is getting the floors mopped  up there but know the streets can't be dirty if they are gold.  Had a nice Mother's Day yesterday with a breakfast brunch  planned  by the guys. Everyone was  here but you were  here in our hearts.  Marissa's graduation was so nice. I had her have her picture taken with the picture of you and me in a photograph that I carry in my purse. She was in her cap and gown. We all went to dinner at one of the restaurants that you and I took Kevin and Missy to once. It I is Sportys sports bar.  Miss you a lot Dad and wish I could just set down with you and talk to you about things that should have been taken care of and put in writing before you passed. Now I am left with making decisions that should have been made by both of us. This puts a heavy load on me sometimes as to what to do. I guess I will pray about it with The Lord to help me. Hi dad. Up to 63 degrees today.  Found a small deer with a big rack and put it on your grave. Think of you a lot and think of all the memories we made and where we went. Lots going on this year so will be busy with that. Missy graduates, Randi and Eric get married, Trisha and Darik having a baby, Michael and Karlee having a baby, wedding shower for Randi, baby shower for Karlee and buying for Trisha's baby.  I think they both want to know what they are having so will find out soon. Jaylon and Bryson are playing soccer and you always enjoyed this. Bryson will be 5 years old on May 3rd. Got his birthday party also. They are growing so fast  and both are so smart.  Am thinking about having the trailer pulled out to the park for a week or two. Not sure yet. It sure won't be the same with you not there but I know I must go on as that is what you would want me to do but it sure is hard. Things are going good for Ashley and Jaylon at the park in the trailer. Megan told me she is going back to college for nursing and Todd is doing fine. Darik is in Tennesee working but not sure how long he will there. Everyone else seemed to be doing good just all working a lot of hours. Well will stop for now just wondering what you are doing up in heaven but sure you are visiting with everyone.  Love you lots and lots and sure do miss you lots. Hey Dad, As I sit here and watch your Detroit Tigers play the Yankees at the ball park I can't help or think about the last game I watched at the park was with you on September 26th! Wow , what a great time we had hanging with all the guys at batting practice. Ma wants to go to a game so I'll take her down and watch the boys play. It won't be the same without you that's for sure . You should see Jose Iglesias play shortstop you would love this kid, he's amazing. Take care until we meet again, sure miss ya, Mike

It's me again. On your birthday you again reached me with the same age. I guess in July I will go in front again. Yes, a 3/4 of a century old. I see that Trisha wrote to you that she is pregnant and will be due in Oct  and Karlee will be due in Oct. That means we will have 4 great grandchildren. The family is sure growing Dick. We put some birthday balloons on your grave with some silk flowers and the solar cross. We will put fresh flowers on as soon as the weather clears up. Some of us went to one of your favorite restaurants the Open Hearth in Hart on your birthday  and some could not go which was fine as you know it is very hard for everyone to always go and that is understandable. We had a real rain storm last night and thought it was so high that it was going to go into your back garage but it didn't. I set here thinking of you a lot and thinking what would we Be doing if you were here. We certainly have a lot of memories but sure do miss you so much. I still cry a lot but understand it was best that The Lord take you home as you asked him too many times when you were having pain. What a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle and friend you were to so many people and you certainly are missed. Well Dick it has been 5months today since you left us and went to heaven. No more pain for you anymore but we sure do miss you so much down here. Not a day goes by that you aren't thought about. Yes, you our hero has left us to jointhe other ones up there but we know it was for the best because of your pain and suffering. You asked The Lord to take you home and he listened to you. I know we are not to question but not really sure what totally took you but it doesn't make any difference now. Dawn and Ernie went to the cemetary and took your cross up out of the snow and hooked it on our back deck at our house. I look at it all the time and the lights that Dawnie put on your wreath that Mike and Michael brought from the UP and the solar cross that Todd and Megan put on the wreath shines just beautiful at night. Oh Lord I miss you so much every day. We have a few things going on this year such as a wedding of Randi and Eric in Sept,  Marissa graduates from Michigan State in May, and a new Great grand baby also in Sept for Michael and Karlee. I know you will be here in heart and that empty chair will be yours not filled by anyone else. I set here by myself on this Friday nite just wondering what we would be doing if you were here but not to be. Yes, you are certainly missed by all of us but you were down in the Book Of Life for October 5, 2014, a day we will never forget. Love you dearly and always will. Hi Dad here I am again just wanting to talk to you and tell you how much you are missed. It is pretty lonely here without you but know that your pain is gone forever. It's a pretty lonely and empty house without you. I am trying to keep busy with my sewing and embroidery. I went grocery shopping yesterday and what a disaster I had. I can't do this again by myself as I saw all the items and foods that you liked. I forgot where I even parked my car and had to have help finding it. Dawnie came and found it for me. The boys are growing like weeds and everyone else is o.k. Well will close for now. I will be back soon again. Love you so much and miss you. Your wife

I forgot to mention that your kids Mike and Susie, Terry and Ruth and Dawn and Ernie are doing o.k. They miss you as much as I do but they saw you suffer also like I did and they know that your pain is gone forever.
