Ralph Harry Christiansen

Ralph H. Christiansen, age 80, of Ravenna, MI lost his 2 1/2 year battle with cancer on October 24, 2014. Ralph was born on July 9, 1934, to the late Harry and Margaret (Raffai) Christiansen. On April 4, 1959, he married Barbara Taylor. He retired from General Dynamics (Continental) in 1996. Some of Ralph's proudest and happiest memories came from serving his country in the Army, going on hunting trips with his brothers, and traveling with his wife. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; two brothers, Claude (Sandy) and Elden (Nancy) Christiansen; one brother-in-law, Donald (Eileen) Taylor; five nephews, Matthew (Denise) and Andrew Christiansen, John D (Stephanie), Steven (Sonja), and Daniel (Erin) Taylor; and several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary and one niece, Angela. Funeral services for Ralph will be conducted on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at Ever Rest Funeral Home in Muskegon with Pastor Bert Wachter officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 31, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Wolf Lake Baptist Ladies Mission. The family would also like to thank Harbor Hospice and their employees for their wonderful care they provided.
