Minnie was born April 25, 1936, the daughter of Francis and Alice DeRidder.
She married Bernard McMillan in 1955, and together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his death in 2017.
Minnie enjoyed trips to the casino, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. What brought her the most joy in life was her grandchildren. She was a spirited, strong-willed, loving woman who will be deeply missed.
Minnie is survived by: her daughter, Jackie (Mark) Schaap; grandchildren, Jodi (Kalven) Carpenter, Matthew (Meg) Schaap, Amy Schaap, Luke Schaap, Jordan Schaap, Benjamin Schaap, Donnie McMillan, Staci McMillan, Jared McMillan, Diana McMillan, and Nate McMillan; brothers, Jeff "Henry" (Cathy) DeRidder, Mike (Sandy) DeRidder; sister, Clara Elgersma; sister-in-law, Barb DeRidder; and several great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by: her husband; sons, Ken and Don McMillan; and several siblings.
A private burial will take place at Fruitland Township Cemetery.
