Michaela ‘Mickey’ Givens was born in Ludington, Michigan on August 27, 1941 and passed away on April 21, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Everett Givens; children, Theresa Robison, of Muskegon, Marianne (Karl) Wilson, of Round Rock, TX, Jeanette (Roger) Bak, of Royal Oak, MI, Anthony (Jeannette) Givens, Michelle (Bud) Kelley, Philip (Deborah) Givens, all of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert ‘Mike’ (Julia) Grantsynn and Patrick (Harriette) Grantsynn; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Mickey graduated from Muskegon High School in 1959. She loved to travel, nature, birds, gardening, antiquing and trips to the casino. Along with being a landlord she was an active member and past president of the Muskegon Area Landlords Association. A funeral service will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2011. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association, envelopes available at the funeral home.
