Mary Lind was born on October 22, 1934 to Claude and Anna (Kreiser) Howard. Her birth mother Anna was terminally ill when Mary was born. As an infant Mary was adopted by Fred and Clara (Bartz) Harrand. Anna and Clara were first cousins. Family was always family for Mary.
Mary graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Muskegon, class of 1952. In 1971, she married the love of her life, Charles F. Lind. They had 27 happy, wonderful years together. Mary was employed at Continental Motors, Brunswick Corporation and Teledyne Continental Motors as a Cost Control Accounting Clerk for 25 years until she retired in 1996. She took an early retirement at age 55, to spend more time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and to enjoy life. She loved singing in the choir at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake, Michigan, for ten years. Charles and Mary had many vacations to Las Vegas and Hawaii. They enjoyed life to the fullest with love and companionship. They enjoyed just being together always.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Lynn Town, Cheryl (Roland) Falkowski, Cindy (Tom) Neely, grandchildren, Amanda (Ross) Allen, Tricia (Brian) Rhude, and great grandchildren, Keira and Caysen Crocker, Anderson, Harrison and baby boy Rhude.
Mary was preceded in death by her birth and adoptive parents, husband Charles F. Lind in August 1998, son, Raymond Sieffert in March 2006, brothers Dale and Earl Howard, and sisters Merle Howard and Joan Schmidt.
In accordance with her wishes, Mary’s remains will be placed with her beloved husband Charles at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Together again forever with love. Please consider making memorial donations to Harbor Hospice in Mary's honor.
