Laurie Donovan Zavitz, 66, passed away on January 16, 2023.
Laurie was born on February 5, 1956. He began working for Misco of Muskegon and then went on to work at Grand Haven Stamp Products. He started on the assembly line and worked his way up to be a Lead Man. He worked there for 35 years. He was an outdoors man who loved nature. He was dedicated to his church and always went the extra mile to make sure everyone knew Jesus. He served as a Deacon for Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Muskegon, and always came to every work bee. He also volunteered for Karlie’s closet. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers.
He is survived by many loving family members.
In accordance with Laurie’s wishes, cremation will take place and a funeral service will be held at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3040 Evanston Ave. Muskegon, MI 49442, at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 26, 2023. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service.
