Larry was born to Milton & Lillian Hackney on August 29, 1941 in Grand Haven, MI. He attended Muskegon High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force. After serving his country, he went on to work for Dresser Crane as an assemblyman and eventually retired from BASF Holland. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, local chapter N and a member of the Fruitport Eagles. He loved to play Bingo and go to the casino but above all, he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Hackney; wife, Debbie Hackney; brother, Chuck Hackney; and grandchildren, Cameron Trask, Lanae Trask, and Bradley Trask.
Larry is survived by his children, Pam Trask, Larry Dean, John Munroe, and Michael Munroe; six siblings; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving family and friends.
A private burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens and a Memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 East Keating Ave Muskegon, MI 49442.
