Kathryn was born March 11, 1930, the daughter of Clyde and Merle Baker. Kathryn was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She worked a paper route for over 30 years, working well in to her 70’s. She volunteered at the American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Association, and Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, and playing bingo. She was a feisty, opinionated, strong woman. She will be deeply missed.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Deborah; 3 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Lewis) Gallup, and Rita Ladnier; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Sandra (Carol) Lynne-Schulz.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Ruth Jean Armstrong; and brother, Gerald Baker.
A celebration of life open house will take place from 3:30PM-5:30 PM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Nelson Park Apartments, 350 Houston Avenue.
