Katherine Betty Copps

Kathy was born on February 20th, 1929 in Fremont, Michigan. Kathy worked as a loving caregiver for her grandchildren during their “growing up” years. Kathy was a vivacious lady who enjoyed multiple activities, including travel, red-hatters, and shopping. Her greatest passion was her family, including her two daughters, six grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Kathy was the wife of James Howard Smrcina and John Alden Copps, both of whom proceeded her in death. Kathy was a vibrant women, and a light to many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by daughter Rebecca Ann (Forrest) Joppie, and Suzanne Kay Adams; grandchildren Lisa (Mark) Henley, Janice (Joe) Luoma, Thomas (Jen) Joppie, Faith (Arland) Johnston, James Young, and Amanda (Kendra) Young; as well as, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

There will be a Private Celebration of Life Service held on Thursday, May 13th, 2021.
