Karen Flores

She was born February 29, 1948, to George and Dorothy (Maltman) Tomaras. Karen graduated from Holton High School in 1966, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She married David Flores in 1967.

Karen enjoyed all things about muscle/classic cars. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, sewing, and drawing. Karen was a fun loving, hard worker, who spent 46 years working for Howmet. Karen enjoyed family get togethers very much. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband David Flores; her sons Tony and Damian (Lynn); grandchildren, Stefan, Tharen, and David; step grandchildren, Bruce, Nickki, and Jared; Special Brother in-law, Ruben (Tina) Flores and their children, Zambri, Daniel, Anita, Amanda, Ruben David, and Cody; Brothers, Steve (Odett) Tomaras and Michael Tomaras; Brother in-law Joe (Nelly) Flores, Sister in-law, Carolina (John) Hallack and sister in-law Hilda Ortega. She also had numerous nieces and nephews that were dear to her.

Karen was proceeded in death by both of her parents, daughter, Stephanie, and her sister, Eileen.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023, at 12:00pm, with visitation an hour prior. Interment will be immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery, in Holton, MI.
