It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Towne Cummins on November 19, 2024. We find comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Her favorite book was the Bible and she loved to read it especially Psalms 23.
Karen was born on February 23, 1945 to Orville and Leona Towne. She was their first born and was born while dad was serving in WWII. Karen was our family historian spending many hours researching our family tree and creating beautiful books with pictures, names and dates. She collected this information while traveling to dozens of libraries in the United States and in Europe. This was her absolute passion!
She worked at Brunswick and then Dresser in Muskegon, MI until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of The Daughter's of the American Revolution. She took pleasure spending time at their meetings with all of her fellow DAR members. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and spoiling all her special dogs.
Karen is survived by her brother Kimball Towne and her sister Pamela Towne DeVille and several nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents Orville and Leona Towne, two sisters Nancy Schoerner and Marlene Earnest.
There are no funeral arrangements at this time.
