Mr. John S. Wadkins, age 79, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011. He was born in Muskegon on February 29, 1932 to Bert and Winifred (Gilbert) Wadkins. John is survived by his wife, Ruth (Alberts-Hahn); children, John E. (Vicki) Wadkins, Sandra (Michael) Webber and Vicky (David) Eikenberry, all of Muskegon; step-children, Betty Kilner, Carol (Tom) VanRensailer, both of CA and Jeff (Robin) Hahn of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Ron) Schutz of TX; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl; step-son, Elmo Hahn and by 11 siblings. John had retired from Sealed Power after 38 years. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel with Pastor David Eikenberry officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 3 to 5 PM and one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial at Mona View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mercy VNS & Hospice Services.
