John E. Tangney, Sr. age 88 passed away on January 19, 2013. John is survived by his two sons, John Jr. (Nancy) Tangney and James (Colette) Tangney; six grandchildren, Mindy, Chad (Kim), Eric, Kelly (Chris)Buys, Lindsey, Kyle; 2 great-grandchildren Launa and Trenten; special friend, Peggy Poland. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, James and a brother, George. John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was retired from Teledyne/Continental Motors and was a member of the Muskegon FOE Aerie #668 and he enjoyed golfing. Private services have been held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice or the Noah Project.
