John L. Martin, Sr. age 59 passed away suddenly on March 3, 2013. John is survived by his son, John L. (Mary) Martin, Jr.; five grandchildren, Haliegh, Louis V, Naomi, Tapanga, Lukus; brother, Louis III (Marcia) Martin; sister, Tamara (Bruce ) Smith; longtime companion, Jody. John was preceded in death by his son, Louis Martin, IV; and his parents, Louis E. and Doris A. (Masterson) Martin; and two sisters, along with his many poker buddies. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the VFW Post 7729 located at 6285 E. Apple Ave.
