John H. Brunke

John H. Brunke, age 83, passed away at home on November 3, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Brunke in May 2006. He is survived by his siblings, Lois Glass, Lauren Brunke, Rhonda Evers and Wanda Brunke; two stepsons, Vic (Joyce) Patton and Rich Patton; grandchildren, Shane (Katie) Patton and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Everette. John was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II, and was a life member of VFW Post #446. He was retired from Continental Motors after 30 years of service and member of Local 113 along with being a past member of the American Legion, the Eagles and the Moose. John and his wife Frances wintered in Weslaco, Texas for 15 years. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service with military honors will be held at VFW Post #446, 165 S. Getty Street, on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
