James G. Watkins was called home to be with the lord on June 6, 2016. He was born on February 16, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, Tennesse to his father the late Clay Thomas Jackson and his mother the late Myra Lou Watkins. James decided to move to Brooklyn, New York for a few years. He later decided to move to Muskegon, Michigan in 1977. James graduated from Muskegon Senior High School on June 8th, 1988. James was ordained as a minister on December 30th, 1998 at Progressive Universal Life Church. James loved the Lord whole heartily. If you needed prayer or a bible, James would pray for you and give you a bible from his own collection. James loved to eat fried chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, and Chinese food, and he loved to eat at Golden Corral with his buddy Richard.
James leaves to cherish his pride and joy his daughter Crystal Watkins, grand daughter Shameka Watkins, his daughter's mother Frances Watkins, future son in law Kevin Tyler, three loving nieces Karen Lane aka Nettie, Takisha L Murphy, Tameika L Bomani, his devoted friend Richard Thompson, his aunt Mary, five sisters Inez Bernice Jones, Annie K Davis, Linda Patty Jackson, Addie Tiny Jackson, Phoebe Jackson Bannister, eight brothers his late twin John Watkins, late Clay Thomas Jackson Jr, late Micheal Jackson, late John Jackson, Howard Jackson, Ronald Jackson, Terry Jackson, and devoted step brother Charles Jones, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends
