Jack Brandon Richards, age 79, died Monday, April 15, 2019 in Spring Lake, MI. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Muskegon to the late Frank and Helen (Ehrig) Richards. He served in the US Navy from 1958-1960 and was stationed in New Orleans before being honorably discharged. Jack worked in construction for many years before retirement. He enjoyed fishing, scrapping, yard sales taking long drives and especially spending time with his grandchildren which always brought a smile to his face. Jack is survived by his wife Janice, two daughters, Lonni (Jose) Lockhart and Quana (Jason) Billado, one son Jack Lockhart, two stepsons Jamie (Tammy) Dassow and Michael Dassow, one brother, George (Linda) Richards, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one stepson, Gary Dassow and five brothers. There will be a Celebration of Life service on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00pm at The Gateway Church, 700 Maple St., Spring Lake, MI 49456. with a visitation one hour prior to service. Military rites will follow by the local honor guard.
