Henry Dobrowolski, age 86, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Henry served in the United States Army during the Korean War and later retired from the Naval Reserves. He was a member of VFW Post 7729 as well as an original member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Henry was a Civil War Historian and was very passionate about reenactments and visiting schools to teach children the history of the Civil War. He was a true and loyal patriot. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Dobrowolski; children: Brenda (Thomas) Sauve, Allen (Diane) Dobrowolski, Steven Dobrowolski, John Dobrowolski; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. A memorial gathering will take place immediately after at the Sauve residence (2940 Marquette). In lieu of flowers, please consider bringing a dish to pass, as Henry was a fan of potlucks.
