Ernest E. “Ernie” Simons age 72 passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He graduated from North Muskegon High School, then served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. In June of 1965 he married Karen Ann Andreason and she survives. He was retired from Muskegon Piston Ring. Along with his wife Karen he is survived by a son, Kevin (Holly) Simons; daughter-in- law, Jodie (Steve) Fauble; three grandchildren, Kayleigh, Alexis Belle, and Steven; brother-in-law, Scott (Joan) Andreason; sister-in-law, Rita Simons; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Buster. Ernie was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Simons in 2006 along with a brother, Eugene Simons. Funeral services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Veterans, Inc.
