Dr. Edward L. Jensen DDS was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 23, 1931 and passed away January 18, 2013. Ed graduated from Muskegon High School and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning from service he graduated from Muskegon Community College, went on to University of Michigan College where he was known by his classmates as “Easy Ed” of Engineering earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and later returned to U of M School of Dentistry before graduating in 1966. Ed then opened a dental practice in North Muskegon MI where he practiced for 31 years. Ed enjoyed being a member of the YMCA and Director of little league in North Muskegon where his sons were active. Ed enjoyed playing volleyball, traveling with his family and enjoying wintering in Florida. He is survived by his loving family, wife Geraldine “Gerry” (Warner) of 59 years; sons Michael of FL, Mark (Lisa) of Whitehall, MI, Scott (Erika) of North Muskegon MI; grandchildren include Brittany Jensen, Garrett and Parker Jensen; great grandchild Aulbree. Survivors also include his sister Lynn Schrader of Muskegon, MI; Gloria (Wayne) Senecal of St. Joseph MI; many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death a sister Bernatte Lee, and a brother Eugene. Ed will be remembered for his gentleness, compassion and kind and gentle heart. According to Ed's wishes there will be no service. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Dr. Jensen's name to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Please share memories with the family at the on line guest book.
