Doris V. Jupa Moore

Whitehall

Doris V. (Jupa) Moore, Whitehall, Michigan, 84 years young, went to be with her Lord on October 21, 2010. She was born April 30, 1926 in Chicago, IL to the late Fred and Lillian Schmeling. She married James W. Jupa in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1969. In 1973 she married Charles B. Moore and he passed away in 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Thrasher of Whitehall and Diane Jupa (Phyllis Moore) of Montague, 2 grandchildren, Tammy (Chuck) Slater of Muskegon and Patrick ‘Rick’ Thrasher of Whitehall, a great-grandson, Joshua Brooks and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Braiden and Kynzi Brooks of Michigan City, IN. In addition she leaves her brother ,Fred (Maxine) Schmeling of Whitehall, good friend, Lucy Pappenfuss of Whitehall, 3 step-children, Jon Moore of Cadillac, Myrnette (Lacy) Lentz of Gainsville, FL and Alice (Ed) Hammock of Louisville, KY, and her beloved dog, Muffin. Doris drove school bus in Whitehall for a number of years and worked at Howmet until retirement. In keeping with Doris’ wishes, there will be no funeral, but the family invites friends to join them for a Celebration of Life on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the American Legion, 803 E.
