Donna B. (Rolison) Daunt was born March 19, 1929 to Forest L. and Alta Ruth Rolison in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, and passed away on January 14, 2021. Donna was a sweet and gentle soul who had a great faith in the Lord and loved her family immensely. She treated everyone with the utmost kindness and love. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and flowers and playing her organ.
On September 1, 1950, she married Donald L. Daunt and together they had three children: Signa Rene’ Daunt, Randy Lee (Debra) Daunt, and Rhonda Kay (Stephen) Smith; eight grandchildren, Greg (Krista) Rupar, Melissa (Matthew) Albright, Scott Daunt, Matthew Henry, Jennifer (David) LaChapelle, Kim (Paul) Sanford, Scott (Heidi) Smith, Stephanie Smith; nine great-grandchildren, Aiden and Emma Albright, Katie and Megan Rupar, Olivia and Jackson LaChapelle, Tyler and Kendal Daniels, and Joshua Smith.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, her sister Nellie Farber survives her along with many nieces and nephews, and the many friends she has made along her life’s journey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Daunt, parents, Forest and Ruth Rolison, brother, Clifford Rolison, sisters, Areldine Irons, Viola Holmes, Mary Thies, Wilma Boyer, Beverly Campbell, and granddaughter, Amanda M. Daunt.
Donna was retired from her position as Finance Director for the Muskegon County Road Commission. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Holton American Legion Post #397 Auxillary.
There will be a public visitation on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, a private funeral service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11am at Ever Rest with burial to follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The private service will be available to view by live stream on Ever Rest Funeral Home's Facebook Page (see below in Services section for a direct link.)
