Donald A. McCauley

Donald A. McCauley, age 85 of Muskegon, MI passed away on September 11, 2013 peacefully at home. Donald served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Ht’s Eagles Aerie #2106. He worked at Muskegon Tile and Flooring and the Muskegon Township Police. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary E. McCauley; children: Peggy A. Douglas; Susan (Rick) Dansby of Manistee, MI; Tom (Michele) McCauley; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred (William) Burmeister. He was preceded in death by both parents: Robert and Helen (Bates) McCauley; son, Robert W. McCauley; brother: Gerald (Gus) McCauley; sisters: Dorothy (Frank) Gerencer; Shirley (Trace) Berg; Barbara (Robert) Padecky. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00pm and one hour prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 10:00am. Burial and military honors will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery following the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy VNS Hospice.
